Known Limits
What has not been verified yet, and what the agents or frameworks cannot do today.
Verification status
- For every supported language and domain, a project generated from the skills compiles against the current framework source. The generated tests have not yet been run against a live app.
- Only Claude Code's layout is in live use. The other agents' layouts follow each tool's documentation and are pinned by tests, but are not yet verified live in that tool (shown as "Partial" on the support matrix).
- Of the CLI's own live flows, the local web flow and web session re-attach have passed; desktop, mobile and remote-web flows have no recorded live run yet.
Agent-specific limits
- GitHub Copilot cloud agent: reading
.claude/agentsis undocumented. To give the cloud agent native agents, scaffold Copilot without Claude. - Devin: subagents are experimental and
.claude/agentsimport is undocumented, so Devin always gets native copies. - Codex CLI: has no per-agent read-only setting; the locator specialist's read-only rule is instruction-only.
- Duplicate skills: with Claude Code plus Codex CLI, Gemini CLI or Antigravity CLI, Copilot, Cursor and OpenCode read both
.claude/skillsand.agents/skills. - Gemini CLI is enterprise-only: since June 18, 2026 it serves Gemini Code Assist (Standard and Enterprise) licences and API keys only. Unpaid and Google One users moved to Antigravity CLI. Google sells no new Gemini Code Assist subscriptions since October 9, 2026; renewals end in 2027.
- Antigravity CLI: there is no syntax to call a subagent by name (the main agent picks it), and the name of its file-creating tool is undocumented, so the generator lists only the documented tools.
- Kiro CLI: the agents use the Markdown format of Kiro CLI 3; Kiro CLI 2 reads only JSON agents.
- OpenCode: it does not follow
@imports, so, like Codex CLI, it reads the instruction fragment through a one-line pointer inAGENTS.md.
Language limits
- TypeScript is web only. BELLATRIX-JavaScript has no desktop or mobile component and page-object layer, so only the language-independent CLI skills are scaffolded there.
- The Java and TypeScript frameworks are not published to Maven Central or npm; they are installed from source (see Languages).
- The skills document the framework bugs found while checking them, with workarounds, until they are fixed upstream.
Operational limits
- Desktop (WinAppDriver) and mobile (Appium) both default to port 4723: run one at a time, or move one.
initremoves BELLATRIX's own former MCP server entries (bellatrix-desktop-mcp,bellatrix-web-mcp,bellatrix-mobile-mcp) from the MCP files it manages; other entries are kept. Do not run it in a repo that still depends on those servers.- Sessions and snapshots live under
.bellatrix/in the current folder; run one test's commands from one folder.
